I built this non-student-facing Canvas showcase shell to show how I run the Arizona Western College Exercise and Wellness (EXW) fleet (EXW 101, EXW 150, EXW 210, EXW 245, and EXW 265) as a unified, Git-version-controlled Curriculum-as-Code ecosystem. Instead of relying on traditional, cloud-based AI chatbot interfaces, I power my instructional workflows using an air-gapped Google Gemini Argon 4 open-weight Gemma model (open-source with no SaaS/subscriber subscription fees, no tokens, and zero-trust security) running locally on my Apple Silicon M2 (MacBook Air) hardware.
What Does Air-Gapped Mean?
An air-gapped system is physically and digitally isolated from the public internet and external networks. Because my local Gemini Argon 4 instance operates entirely offline on a secure local machine, student data, curriculum assets, and clinical interactions never touch external cloud servers, guaranteeing absolute FERPA compliance and ironclad data privacy.
Through this architecture, I achieved 100% WCAG 2.2 AA compliance (9:1 contrast), strict adherence to ADA Title II standards, zero textbook costs ($0 ZTC) for students, and completely private, local AI operations.
